The official spokesperson of the Sudanese Armed Forces has delivered a recorded statement addressing the measures taken to protect civilians during ongoing military operations. The response came in the context of a question posed by the Sudanese Echo platform.

The spokesperson affirmed that civilian protection has been a top priority since the very beginning of the war. He explained that the Armed Forces have adopted a disciplined and deliberate approach, including caution in operations, precise targeting, advance warnings to the population, the establishment of safe evacuation corridors, and the restriction of airpower use in populated areas, especially in light of the militia’s deliberate presence within civilian neighborhoods and public facilities.
