I watched a video of a number of IDPs in Zamzam camp in North Darfur speaking about the atrocities committed by the Rapid Support Forces militia against civilian men, women, and children.
An elderly man delivered a sermon in which he criticized the international community and organizations claiming to defend human rights, while the militia is committing the most egregious and horrific violations.
I also watched a report by the British newspaper The Guardian, which included excerpts of the violations committed against displaced people who had fled their homes.
The report documents horrific testimonies from inside the Zamzam camp after the attack launched by the Rapid Support Forces militia on April 11, 2025.
The report documented the crimes committed against defenseless civilians, especially women and children, and to amplify the voices of those who survived this human tragedy.
The article covered a raid on the camp by militias who chanted racist slogans while shooting at the victims.
The report affirmed that the militia soldiers “were barbaric, inhumane. They were chanting while killing people inside their homes. This is behavior you don’t even find in the wilderness.”
“The bombing was so intense. People started fleeing in every direction— to the south, east, and west. The bombing was so intense.”
“Some children were literally dying of thirst upon arrival, having walked for two days under a scorching sun without a single drop of water.”
Militia fighters stop people on the roads and decide who is allowed to pass based on skin color.
“The main goal is to carry out a comprehensive genocide and displace any tribe not affiliated with the Rapid Support Forces.”
“The Rapid Support Forces have looted all areas surrounding El Fasher, killed many people, burned villages, and stolen their property.”
“Even now, the people who remained in the camp, were killed and raped. Even those who tried to flee to the west were brought back and killed, including some young girls and elderly people.
There are still a large number of wounded who have not received any treatment.
“The fled people are truly exhausted, because what happened in Zamzam is a true tragedy.
Things cannot be described, they have never happened before in the history of humanity.”
This report, prepared by a neutral party, is a document condemning the militia and those supplying them with weapons to implement this plan they devised for the genocide of these people, who have no connection to the army or the armed movements.
The international community and human rights organizations are aware of the reality of what is happening and are aware of the state that sponsors this militia, which provides weapons under the guise of humanitarian aid to exterminate a defenseless people.
What happened in Zamzam and Abu Shouk brings to mind what happened in El Geneina in West Darfur and what happened in other areas in Gezira state and West Omdurman.
The truth is clear, the criminal is known, and the supporters are known, after Sudan exposed them internationally.
